We are introducing updates to the Saga Premium fare type and aligning Economy Standard seat selection across domestic and regional routes with our international operations.

What is changing on July 7, 2026?

Seat selection in Economy Standard on domestic and regional routes 

From July 7, 2026, seat selection in Economy Standard for the mid and front cabin follows the same pricing logic across the entire fleet on all routes. Previously, passengers with Economy Standard fare were able to select their seats free of charge in the mid and front cabin on certain routes operated by DHC200 and DHC400 aircraft (all domestic flights, Faroe Island flights, and some Greenland flights). From July 7, 2026, seat selection in the mid and front cabin is subject to the same seat pricing rules across our fleet. 

What is changing on July 21, 2026?

The number of checked bags for Saga Premium fare changes from two to one. Previously, Saga Premium fare included 2 × 32 kg checked bags. From July 21, 2026, Saga Premium fare includes 1 × 32 kg checked bag. Note: Saga Premium Flex fare continues to have 2 x 32 kg included.

Seat selection in Saga Premium on international routes

Seat selection for Saga Premium fare becomes subject to a fee. Previously, Saga Premium fare included a free seat selection. From July 21, 2026, seat selection is available only for purchase. Passengers who do not select a seat upon booking get a seat allocated for free when checking in to their flight. Note: Saga Premium Flex fare continues to have seat selection included.

What happens to the tickets booked before July 21, 2026?

All reservations made before July 21, 2026, need to be ticketed before that date to retain the same benefits and conditions that applied at the time of booking. Changes to these tickets will follow the same rules that applied on the date of purchase.
